Negative: The key challenge with Davinci Resolve is that there is a fairly steep learning curve. And if you need the full version, the cost is very low compared to other professional post-production software. The free version is amazing, offering most of the functionality of the Studio version. Resolve can easily handle any video project, from corporate/event videography to editing full-length movies. Positive: Davinci Resolve has evolved into a full-featured post-production suite, including comprehensive editing, coloring, audio, and motion graphics capabilities. Try the free version before upgrading to Resolve Studio - if you can handle the learning curve, there's no reason to use anything else! Resolve could easily handle high-end work but it's cheap enough for any organization to use. At my company, we don't need to do a lot of complex post-production in-house, so an affordable but still powerful tool like Davinci Resolve is ideal. Summary: I've been using Resolve over the last three years for video editing, audio post-production, and basic motion graphics.
